Utility arboriculture firm bts Group Ltd has landed an internationally-recognised award for demonstrating top-tier health and safety standards in the workplace.
bts Group has received a RoSPA Gold Health and Safety Award for its diligent work safeguarding staff and sub-contractors. RoSPA – The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents – operates by the motto “accidents don’t have to happen”. bts Group agrees, doing everything possible to mitigate risk in a dangerous industry.
The company operates under a “safety-first culture”, said Managing Director Hal McCallum. “Everyone must go home safe at the end of a day’s work; this has been our ethos from the very start.” bts arborists and surveyors are highly trained in the specialised field of utility arboriculture (UA), achieving UA competencies in addition to standard certifications. All staff work within a rigorous set of safety procedures.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work. By receiving this recognition, bts Group Ltd join like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to Health and Safety. I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that it has taken to secure this well-deserved award – congratulations to all those involved, who champion and drive up Health and Safety standards every day. You are a fantastic example to others in your sector.”
