bts is currently seeking to recruit, on a permanent basis, experienced utility arborist Groundsman/Second climbers to work in the following areas: 

  • Wisbech and the surrounding areas.
  • Duxford/Cambridge and the surrounding areas.  

The roles are to assist the team in all areas of Groundsman/second climber duties needed for the clearance of vegetation surrounding power lines, in accordance with safe working practices and as training and certifications permit.

*UA1 training may be provided for the right applicant.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • First Aid Certification 
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Able to work using own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team

And, in addition to the above, the following qualifications:


  • UA: 1*
  • CS: 30, 31

Second Climber:

  • First Aid Certification 
  • UA: 1*, 2.1, 2.2, & 2.3
  • CS: 30, 31, 38 & 39
